The art of solving your issues!

Do you ever feel like this?
  • I’m physically and emotionally drained, yet I can’t seem to stop.
  • I can’t switch off; my brain loops through “to-do” lists even when I’m exhausted.
  • I feel cynical or detached from the work or relationship I used to care about.
  • I’m always “on” but never productive, sacrificing sleep and time with people I love.
  • I’ve lost interest in exercise, hobbies, and the things that used to make me me.

Having gone through burnout myself, I have felt all of these things.

It made me wonder how I kept going through the same cycle. There is one thing you need to realise: you were programmed to believe that your worth is tied to your productivity.

Through our upbringing and the society we live in, we were programmed to:

  • Equate “busy” with “important”
  • Ignore our body’s signals for rest
  • Fear saying “no” to others
  • Value external achievement over internal peace

So no matter how many holidays you take or how many “early nights” you promise yourself, the burnout keeps returning. You will unconsciously seek out more tasks and even more pressure to maintain a state of high-alert because your nervous system has been regulated to believe that rest is unsafe.

Why do you think some people get “sick” the moment they finally go on holiday? Why do some people feel guilty the second they sit on the sofa? Why can some people never just be? They are unconsciously trying to remain in the survival mode they were conditioned to live in.

But, if you want to break the cycle of burnout, you can…

My client, Ross:

“It was as though the constant ‘background noise’ of stress finally stopped. I realized I was running a race that didn’t have a finish line. Now I’m feeling focused on the right things, and for the first time in years, I’m actually present when I’m at home with my family.”

My client, Sue:

“My life changed when I realized that ‘resting’ isn’t something I have to earn. I’ve reclaimed my self-worth outside of my job title. I can finish work on time without that nagging sense of guilt, and I’ve finally picked up my old hobbies again because I actually have the mental energy to enjoy them.”

If you want to change your reality of burnout, the only thing you need to do is overcome your conditioning and re-regulate your nervous system.

It’s hard to do this on your own when you’re already exhausted, but it’s easy to do with the right support. If you want to explore how I can help you overcome your burnout and recover for good, get in touch today.
