MY STORY
Why I Do This
I’ve always been interested in meeting new people and understanding what makes them tick.
For the past 20 years I’ve worked in Technology and Cyber Security for large corporate firms, and have been lucky enough to live and work in Dubai and Bermuda. During that time I have met people from many different backgrounds, led teams across the globe, and packed in as much into my life as possible (sometimes to my own detriment!). I was constantly chasing the next thing.
I returned to live in the UK in 2015 after 8 years living abroad. I found my way of life changed dramatically. Rather than a short 5 minute commute and wearing shorts to work in Bermuda, I found myself caught up in the 9-5 rat race, wearing a suit and being a rail commuter – it was a shock to the system!
I had a great job with a great company but something wasn’t quite right and over the course of 3 years my life wasn’t what I wanted it to be. Relationships, work, family life, friendships and my health were all a bit of a car crash. I was burnout. Couldn’t sleep, didn’t eat properly, with a constant fuzzy brain, I was unable to get through most days without feeling there was no light at the end of the tunnel.
I decided to take some time out to travel, went to Bali, disconnected from the busy world, and started working with a life coach to try and find a way through to a better life.
I quickly realised my passion was to help people going through a similar journey to what I had gone through.
I noticed many people I met during work and travelling were falling into the same trap as I had – living a stressed, burnout, unfulfilled life as a result of taking on too much and not living the life they really wanted.
So I went to night school and got my ILM Coaching qualification. Since then I’ve been helping people figure out how to work their way through burnout with clarity and decisiveness.

My Life Now
My life now looks a lot different.
I try to live my life by ensuring everything I do meets my core values. Of course, that isn’t always possible, but I will always ask myself ‘Does doing this particular thing meet my true values?’.
I still work hard but I do it with clarity and awareness. If I feel like I’m starting to go full speed all of the time, then I take a step back.
I live in a pretty village in Norfolk by the coast where I live with my partner and my dog Hugo. I like to get out in the fresh air and be active as much as I can.
Building my coaching business is important to me, but it fits into my life rather than the other way round.
I found a way to live a balanced life and this is what I want for my clients.
